Armstrong, Ruth Ada Decoursey … The death of Ruth Ada Decoursey Armstrong of Titusville, NB, formerly of Saint John East, wife of the late Murray Armstrong, occurred on Friday, January 9, 2009 at her residence. Born in Kingston, NB, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Canon Reginald and Ada (Clements) Britton. Ruth had been employed with Lorne Pridham Photography Studio and later with Canadian Tire before her retirement. Ruth had been involved with the church and taught Sunday School at Trinity Church, Saint John and St. Luke’s Church, Saint John. She is survived by three daughters, Janice Armstrong of Lakeside, NB, Colleen Ebbett (Brian) of Vernon, BC and Janeen Shefton (Gary) of Penacook, NH, USA; one brother John “Jack” Britton (Dorothy) of Annapolis Royal, NS; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Karie, Daphne, Devon, Andrew, Ashley, Adam and Nicole; one great-granddaughter, Isabel; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas Armstrong and a sister, Florence Brown. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. Luke’s Church, Main St. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Breast Cancer Research.
