Obituary of Marjorie G. James

<p>JAMES-the death of Marjorie G. James occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Mrs. James was born in Saint John on August 1, 1926, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Warner) Cooper. She had been employed as a salesclerk with Sears until her retirement a number of years ago. She was a former member of the Mother's Auxillary of the Boys and Girls Club; the Ladies Auxillary of the W.O.'s &amp; Sgt's Mess; and the Ladies City &amp; District Dart League. Mom was a kind, loving, and devoted mom who, although widowed at a young age, worked very hard to provided for her children. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and dearly loved her two great-grandsons, Lucas and Logan, and was very proud of all their accomplishments. She enjoyed knitting, reading, games of cards, and playing bingo. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Kearns; her second husband, Raymond James; her granddaughter, Melanie Davis; her brother, John Cooper; and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Cooper. She is survived by one son, Bill (Mary) Kearns of Saint John; two daughters, Heather (Ron) Davis of Saint John, and Donna (Brian) Kelly of Saint John; five grandchildren, Heather (Kurt) Barton, Chrissy and Nicole Kearns, and Kyle and Andrea Kelly; two great-grandsons, Lucas and Logan Barton; one sister-in-law, Claire Cooper; two nephews, Donald (Cathy) Cooper, and David Cooper; and two nieces, Barbara Cooper and Debbie<br />(Len) Cormier.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.</p> <p><br />Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, donations to Romero House-Soup Kitchen or the Saint John Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated. <br /><br /></p>
