Obituary of Ethel G. Roy

ROY-the death of Ethel G. Roy of Rocmaura Nursing Home, widow of J. Alphe Roy, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 14, 2010. Mrs. Roy was born in Salisbury, N.B., a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Monahan) Duncan. She was a graduate of Hotel d' Dieu School of Nursing and had nursed at Hotel d' Dieu(George Dumont Hospital), Jordan Memorial, Dr. Roberts Hospital School, and Centracare. She was predeceased by two sons, George and Daniel Roy; one daughter, Helen Roy; three brothers, Francis, George, and Donald Duncan; six sisters, Catherine King, Blanche Frenzel, Bernice O'Sullivan, Edith Herrington, Sr. Helen Duncan, S.C.I.C., and Sr. Rita Duncan, S.C.I.C. She is survived by two sons, Paul of Moncton, and Raymond (Jane) of Kingston, N.B.; one daughter, Stella Roy of Jupiter, Florida; one sister, Sr. Teresa Duncan, S.C.I.C., Saint John; 7 grandchildren, Stephen, Shawn, Joseph, Adam, Monica, Jessica, and Michael Roy; two great-grandchildren, Dalyla and Mateo Roy; two daughters-in-law, Ernesta Satalic-Roy of Quispamsis, and Evelyn Roy of Atholville, N.B.; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
