Obituary of Jean M. Cormier

CORMIER-the death of Jean M. Cormier of Saint John, widow of Ludger J. Cormier, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, November 21, 2008. Jean was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William and M. J. "Jennie" (Lockhart) Rodday. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Brenda) , and their children, Jimmy and Carrie; and Robert (Sandra) and their children, Jennifer Ross (Michael), Aimee Colwell (Peter), and Julie Cormier; five daughters, Judith Fournier (Charles, deceased) and her daughter, Pauline Fournier; Anita Cummings (Joseph) and their children, Christine Roy (Nicholas) and Laura McAdam (Justin); Theresa Cormier (James Dulong) and her son, Michael Cormier; Jean Spence (William) and their children Sarah and Cara; all of Saint John, and Katherine Galey (David) of Sussex, and their daughter, Amanda; one sister, Doris Quinlan (Arthur, deceased) of Saint John; seven great-grandchildren, Camryn and Chloe Cormier, Robbie Ross, Hailey, Hannah, and Hayden Colwell, and Madelaine Roy; several nieces and nephews; her caregiver and pal, Karen Guier; and special friend, Janice Cochrane. She was predeceased two sisters, Audrey Rodday and Lois Savoie. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday afternoon at 12:05 P.M. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
