Obituary of James J. Parker

PARKER-the death of James J. Parker of 10 Noel Ave., husband of Nancy D. (Blackie) Parker, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, following a period of failing health. Jim was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, a son of Murray Parker of Port Hope, On., and Elizabeth (Lewis) Parker of Saint John. He had lived the greater part of his life in Saint John, where he had been employed as a computer programmer. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by one son, Kirk of Port Hope, one daughter, Ashley of Port Hope; one step-daughter, Kaitlin Shephard of Saint John; one sister, Debbie Noble (Jack) of Florenceville, N.B.; one niece and one nephew. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Friday afternoon at two o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
