Obituary of J. Arthur Thibodeau

THIBODEAU-it is with great sadness that we announce the death of J. Arthur Thibodeau of 15 Morgan Rd. at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, March 17, 2008. Art was born in Saint John, a son of the late Harold and Loretta (Legacy) Thibodeau, and had been employed as a carpenter and taxi driver with Diamond and Royal Taxi.He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and horse-shoe player. He is survived by his wife, the former Julie Lynn DesRoches; three sons, Jason (Crystal) and Geoffrey (Stacey) both of Saint John, and Harold Thibodeau at home; one daughter, Loretta Thibodeau at home; three brothers, his twin Richard (Christine) of Hammond River, and Glenn (Debbie) and Ron (Brenda) both of Saint John; eight sisters, <Margaret Guay (Albert), Joanne Winchester (David), Mildred "Millie" Kingston (Murray), Ruth Ouellette (Robert), Sharon McKinley (Eugene), Gladys Knox (Donald), Sandra Thibodeau (Joe), and Lynn Thibodeau (Frankie), all of Saint John; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 7 to 9 and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held at Stella Maris Church on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
