Obituary of Linda Helen MacKenzie

Linda Helen MacKenzie of Musquash, wife of Murray MacKenzie, passed away on Tuesday, October 05, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born at Saint John on September 13, 1947, she was a daughter of Helen (Davidson) King and the late Murray King. Linda worked as an Admistrative Support Representative at Point Lepreau for 14 years, but her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.  In addition to her husband of Musquash and her mother of Quispamsis, Linda is survived by her children, Scott MacKenzie (Laura Walker) of Nerepis and Michelle Doucet (Charles) of Quispamsis; a sister, Wendy Steele (Harold) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Kendall, Kenzie, and Leah; as well as nieces and nephews.  Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A celebration of Linda's life will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM at Brenan's Bay View Reception Centre. Interment will take place privately in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital (Rooftop Garden Project) would be appreciated by the family.Â
