Obituary of Viola June Ferris

The death of Viola June Ferris of Central Greenwich, NB, wife of Robert Ferris, occurred on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in London, ON, on February 18, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Davis) Gavell. Â Viola loved her family and spending time with them. She adored her grandchildren especially. Spending time in her flower gardens was her passion along with reading and needlework. Â She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; three children, Judith (Kevin) Jones of Evandale, NB; Gwendolyn (Brian) McKinney of New Maryland, NB and Robert (Susan) Ferris of Sussex, NB; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad), Melanie (Terence), Ashley (Scott), Shawn, Justin, Josh, Matthew and Emily; five great-grandchildren, Kevin, Ashlynne, Ryden, Bradley and Luke; one brother, Edward (Geraldine) Gavell of St. Thomas, ON; one sister, Elsie (Robert) Thomson of London, ON; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, Leonard; three sisters, Marion, Mae and Hilda. Â Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd, Saint John, (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm from Brenan's Bay View Chapel. Interment in the Wesley United Church Cemetery, Browns Flat.
