Obituary of Percival John Chamberlain

The death of Percival "Percy" John Chamberlain of Grand Bay/Westfield, husband of Ruth (Mitchell) Chamberlain, occurred on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Ridgewood Veteran's Centre. Born at Birmingham, England, he was a son of the late William and Ethel (Greaves) Chamberlain. Percy had served in WWII with the Royal Air Force, and was employed as a pipefitter with Saint John Shipbuilding after his retirement he was employed with the Corps. of Commissionaires. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Susan (Brian) Pitt of Grand Bay/Westfield,  two sons: Derek (Wendy) Chamberlain of Greenwich Hill, and Michael (Mandy) of Welsford; two sisters: Gladys Westwood of Wales, Irene (Peter) Marshall of England; three brothers: Donald (Jean) Chamberlain, Harold (Lorraine) and Cyril "Tig" all of England; eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Lori, Sarah, David, Mallory, Seth, Griffin, and Mickie; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one sister, Joyce; two brothers: Raymond and Bill.  Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.   The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from Brenan's Bay View Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB. There will be a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute service on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm.Â
