Obituary of Marina Frances Meehan

With her family at her side, the death of Marina Meehan, wife of the late Malcolm Meehan, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 2, 2010. She was born on January 18, 1935 in Saint John to the late Lorne and Marion (Gray) Speight. Marina co-owned and operated M & M repairs with her husband and worked at the Prince of Wales Irving. She was a member of the Musquash Recreation Council and St. Anne's Vestry and volunteered as a Brownie Leader. Above all, Marina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters: Tracey Galbraith (Neil) of Musquash and Susan Graham (Paul) of Saint John; two brothers: Albert (Myrtle) and Clinton (Sandra) Speight; two grandchildren: Amy and Liam and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Marina was predeceased by a brother, Bernie. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 11 AM from Brenan's Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
