Obituary of Raymond John Hansen

The death of Raymond John Hansen of Saint John West, NB, husband of Simonne (Doucet) Hansen, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Born in Saint John on January 4, 1944 he was a son of the late Harry Halvor and Edwrina (Foote) Hansen. Raymond was an electrician and a member of IBEW 502 for 45 years. He is survived by a daughter, Krista (Hansen) Shanks, her husband Peter and a grandson, Joshua Raymond, all of Chance Harbour, NB; three brothers, Doug (Noella) Hansen of Prince of Wales, NB, Allan (Sandra) Hansen of Saint John and a twin brother, Ralph (Shirley) Hansen of Quispamsis, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Norma Ferguson. Resting at Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
