Obituary of Peter Stanley Shannon

Shannon, Peter Stanley – The family of Peter Stanley Shannon of Saint John, NB, sadly announces his passing on October 16, 2008 at his home surrounded by his wife, children and loved ones. Born in Saint John on March 13, 1958, he was a son of Robert Shannon and the late Alida (Lavigne) Shannon. Peter was employed with Saint John Energy as an Outside Clerk and previously had been employed with the Saint John Regional Hospital for seventeen years with the Environmental Services Department. Survived by his wife, Debbie (Lunn) Shannon; his daughter, Kara and her boyfriend, Dan Backa; his son, Kurtis; his father, Bob Shannon; two brothers, Gary (Donna) and David (Charlene); a sister, Lynn Furness (Anthony) of Utah, USA; mother-in-law, Kay Lunn (Derek England); brother-in-law, Andrew Lunn (Cindy); sister-in-law, Angela Georgoudis (George); several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Alida in 2007. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, NB (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 12:00 noon. A private family interment will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Westfield, NB. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Kidney Foundation or any charity of choice.
