Obituary of Joseph Francis McCarron

McCarron, Joseph Francis passed away at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing on Sunday June 8th 2008 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John to Frank and Caroline (Laracey) McCarron. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Noreen Taylor and nephew Jimmy Taylor. He leaves to mourn his sister Clare, Lois Harvey (Dr. Neil) Nfld., and brother-in-law James Taylor. Several nieces and nephews Mary Luckett (David), Patricia Taylor (Norman), Katherine Taylor, Alta. Carolyn Dicks (Kenneth), Susan Roberts (Bill), Dr. Andrew Harvey (Shelley), Nfld, Dr. Michael Taylor (Wendy) Saint John. Joe was a graduate of St. Vincent's Boys High School. He served in the Air Force in England in WW II. He was well known in the plumbing business in administration. He was employed with James Robertson and later Emco Ltd. Joe was a regular and committed blood donor of the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Program and quietly contributed to many charities of the less fortunate. He enjoyed many summers at his camp in Sussex hunting and fishing; an avid sportsman, he caringly provided his family and friends with a country vacation. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 12:00, from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
