Obituary of Dorice M. Miller

Miller, Dorice M. The passing of Dorice (Caissie) Miller resident of Saint John, NB, wife of Gordon Miller, occurred on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Dieppe, NB, Dorice was the daughter of the late Donat and Irene (Gauvin) Caissie. She is survived by a son, Constable Stan Miller (Jacqueline) of Saint John and daughter Monique Doherty (Patrick), who is presently teaching school in Sarajevo Bosnia. Her grandchildren; Justin and Julia Miller, Kaya and Camdyn Doherty, two sisters, Mae Arsenault (Clifford) of Summerside, PEI, Gloria Savard (Frank)of Pointe-Du-Chene, NB and several nieces and nephews. Dorice was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family. She loved traveling and was very proud of her Acadian heritage, being able to trace her family back to the arrival of Acadians in The NB and NS. Dorice helped establish and taught at what was the first French Kindergarden in the Saint John Area, she was also a member of St. Rose Parish in Saint John. Over the years she has resided in Moncton, Fredericton, Sarnia, Ontario and Saint John. She attended Notre Dame D'Acadie in Moncton and graduated from Oulton Business College and worked at Eaton's in Moncton. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506-634-7425) with visiting on Sunday from 2 - 4 pm ONLY. A Memorial Mass will be held from St. Rose Church on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Interment to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated. Please note the time for the Service on Monday at St. Rose will be at 12:00 PM
