Obituary of Earl E Butler

The death of Earl E. Butler husband of Lillian N (Wright) Butler occurred on May 14, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Edward E. Butler and Annie M. (Abbott) Butler. Earl was with the C.N. Railway as a freight sales representative for 38 years working in Saint John, Fredericton, and New Glasgow, NS. Mr. Butler was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. Earl loved to read, go fishing, play shuffleboard and be in the Jemseg area during the summer. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. He was a quiet humble man who loved his family and grandchildren, he will be sadly missed. Earl is survived by his wife Lillian, two daughters Linda (John) Andrews, Rothesay, NB, Brenda (Wayne) MacIntosh, Sydney, NS, two grandchildren Mark and Marla MacIntosh, cousin Helen Wickens, Boston Mass., four nieces and one nephew. He is predeceased by his parents and one sister Jean Rockwell. Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John in charge of arrangements. Visiting will be held Friday, May 16, 2-4, 7-9, with the funeral on Saturday May 17, 2003 in the Bay View Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place following the service in Cedar Hill Extension. In lieu of flowers donation to the CNIB, West Side Food Bank, Lancaster Baptist Church or donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
