Mary Doreen Butler was born on May 12, 1928; she was the daughter of the late James J. and E. Madeline (Kelly) Butler. Her brother James Raymond died in infancy.

Doreen attended Holy Trinity School and was an Academic Graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. Doreen was employed with the Federal Civil Service for 41 years, 37 of those with Saint John Detachment R.C.M.P where she was affectionately known as “Doe”.

Doreen was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church. She was a member of the C.W.L there for over 60 years, and served as President for 2 terms. After retirement she served as Corresponding Secretary of Rocmaura Auxiliary for 21 years. She also was a member of St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, as well as the Right-to-Life.

Although Doreen grew up as an only child, she was very close to her several cousins. She will be sadly missed by her beloved goddaughter Helen Marie Barr who will hold the memories of their time spent together close to her heart.
