Obituary of Irene Stella Ring

The unexpected passing of Irene Ring of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Donald Ring Sr, occurred on Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on December 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Stella (Byers) Hamilton. Irene loved to play Bingo and cards. Survived by her Son, Donald (June) Ring of Halifax, NS; daughter, Deborah (Bob) Waters of Saint John, NB; two brothers, Don (Bea) Hamilton and David (Audrey) Hamilton; four grandchildren, Dawn (Leo), Rob (Tricia), Shane (Jen), and Jeff (Krista); and two great-grandchildren, Alyson Grace, and Pamela Rose; daughter-in-law, Tanya Ring; sister-in-law, Shirley Whitlock; brother-in-law, Llyod Ring; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother-in-law, Greg Ring. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday at 11:30am. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
