Obituary of Dorothy Lillian Forsythe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Lillian Forsythe, on December 4, 2010 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. She passed away peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy period of declining health, at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Huskins and was predeceased by her husband, Edward and is survived by her children, Brian (Cindi) Forsythe, Elaine (Ron) Denton, Blair (Carolyn) Forsythe, Karen Maxwell, and Corinne (Paul) Carpenter. She will also be sadly missed by her eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by two sisters, Bessie Raynard and Hazel Nickerson, and two brothers, Ronald and Irvin Huskins. She is survived by two brothers, Ernest Huskins of Toronto and Vernon Huskins of Saint John. Dorothy was a longtime employee of the Saint John General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital. Dorothy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and had a love of country music. She particularly enjoyed the many visits of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always left with a special treat after a warm loving hug. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
