Obituary of Joanne Elizabeth Steele

The death of Joanne Steele of Nauwigewauk, NB, occurred on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on March 26, 1949 she was a daughter of Edith Steele and the late Joseph Steele. Joanne began her career training as a nurse at the General Hospital. Not only was she very proficient, dedicated and knowledgeable in her nursing duties, but she took great pride in giving, comforting and compassion to her patients. She is survived by her mother, Edith Steele; four siblings, Michael (Joan) Steele of Nauwigewauk; Mary Jane Steele of Saint John; Barbara (Wendell) Sicard and Joseph Steele both of Nauwigewauk; two nephews; Gregory and Michael Steele; one niece, Tamara Steele; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by her father, Joseph Steele. A celebration of Joanne’s life will take place on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 11:00 am from Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston, NB. Interment at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Romero House Soup Kitchen or any charity of the donor’s choice.
