Obituary of Ruth Marion Edwards-Storey

Ruth Marion (White) Edwards-Storey formerly of Whitehead, Kings County, NB. Wife of the late Stanley T. Edwards and the late Reid Storey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Kings Way Care Centre, surrounded by her family and special family at the Care Centre. Born at Whitehead, NB, on May 25, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Amisa and Wesella (Laskey) White. Survived by her children, Malcolm Edwards (Cindy), Summerville, NB, David Edwards (Judy) of Fredericton, NB, John Edwards (Debbie), Oliver, BC, Brenda Keating, (Harold) Summerville, NB, Sharon Lane, (Wesley), of Moncton, NB; Linda (Ken) Bradley of Alberta and Jackie Edwards of Saint John, NB, as well as 2 stepsons Stanley A. Edwards (Thelma), Saint John, NB and Gerald Edwards (Denise) of St. Albert, AB, as well as 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ruth was predeceased by her son, Stephen Edwards, her brother, Amisa White, sisters, Amy Parker, Gladys Breau, Elsie Knox, Dorothy Gates, Ethel Brigden, Ida Grass and Pearl White. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday, from 6 - 9 PM. Funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment to take place in St. Pauls’ Anglican Cemetery, Whitehead, Kings County at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kings Way Care Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association and Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
