Obituary of Constance Marie Gaudet

Constance “Connie” Marie Gaudet of Saint John passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home following a lengthy illness with Parkinson’s Disease. Born at Welsford on July 21, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Hardie and Jessie (McCraken) Parker. Connie was a graduate of Modern Business College in Saint John, and worked for many businesses in her career. Connie also lived in Ohio for a time, and moved to Maine when she and her husband retired. She moved back to Saint John upon the death of her husband. Connie is survived by two brothers, Donald Parker (Cathy) of Welsford and John “Jack” Parker (Jean) of Welsford; two sisters, Joan Lyon of Welsford and Madelyn Thorne of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her first husband, Geoffrey Sloat; her second husband, Albert Gaudet; and by an infant brother, William Parker. Although there will be no visiting, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Welsford United Church. Interment will take place in the Welsford Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Welsford United Church or to the Welsford Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
