Obituary of Barbara Mary McKee

Surrounded by her family, the passing of Barb McKee, wife of the late Lloyd McKee occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Thursday, November 25, 2010. She was born on June 7, 1926 at Saint John to the late Peniston and Marion (Henderson) Starr. Barb was brought up in Rothesay and spent most of her life in the Rothesay area. She was a representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics and worked for the Welcome Wagon in the Rothesay area. Barb was a member of the Edgehill Old Girls Association. Barb was a dedicated wife and mother; she devoted her life to her family and others. Barb is survived by her two children: Garth McKee (Donna) and Kim Somerville (Charles Owen) both of Saint John; brother William Starr (Jean) of Saint John; sister Margaret Runnells of Edmonton, AB; five grandchildren: Sheila, Aaron, Mason, Michael and Casey; two great grandchildren: Kasey and Benjamin and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The Funeral Service will be held from the Loch Lomond Villa Chapel, 185 Loch Lomond Road on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
