Obituary of Lillian Ruth Woods

Lillian Ruth Woods of Pennfield, wife of the late Paul Harry Woods, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Lillian was born at Hansport, Nova Scotia on July 31, 1914. She enjoyed painting and working around her property, and was an avid reader. In her younger years, she volunteered with the CNIB. Lillian is survived by her sons, John N. Woods (Christine) of Rollingdam and Paul L. Woods (Louise) of Hampton; grandchildren Dianne Kierstead (Andrew), Sharon Woods (Terri), Jennifer Woods (Geir), Krista Beyea (Dexter), Kama Bastarache (Don), Heather McKeil (Rick), and Paula Woods (Colleen); great grandchildren Kai, Ryan, Korissa, Jake, Spencer, Stephen, Noah, Hayleigh, and Riki; a great great grandson, Bryson; and several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Lillian was predeceased by brothers George and Nelson Pearson, and by a sister, Isabelle Sterrat. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia on Wednesday at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
