Obituary of Doreen Jennie Garvin

Garvin, Doreen Jennie – The death of Doreen Jennie Garvin of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Maurice Garvin, occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on November 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late G. Wilmott and Verna M. (Palmer) Campbell. Doreen is survived by a son, Joseph “Joe” Garvin; two daughters, Marla Walker and Denise Badger; six grandchildren, Erika, Devon, Gwen, Dana, Ryan and Mark. Predeceased by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Winnie and Mae; Doreen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
