Obituary of Brian Maurice McCormick

McCormick, Brian Maurice … It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Brian McCormick of Saint John, NB, which occurred on September 5, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1951 in Saint John to Frank and Ruby (Gower) McCormick of Saint John. Brian grew up in the North End and graduated from St. Malochy’s High School in 1969. He was a member of the reserve at Barrack Green with a rank of Captain during his high school years. He also attended St. Thomas University. Brian worked for the Lantic Sugar Refinery until its closing. He lived at home and took care of our parents until their passing and we will remember him as a kind, gentle and solitary spirit and will be sadly missed by his family. Brian is survived by his sister, Carol (Goron) Keith of Texas, USA; brothers, Randy (Nicole) of Montreal, QC, Stephen (Paula) of Saint John, NB, Kevin of Toronto, ON; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and older brother, Edward (Nancy). Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At the request of the family there will not be any visiting at the funeral home. A private family service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
