Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Wagner

Wagner, Mary Elizabeth – Surrounded by her family the death of Mary Wagner of Titusville, NB occurred at her residence on Friday, August 8, 2008. She was born on May 12, 1912 in Upham, NB to the late Burpee and Etha (Beatty) Kilpatrick. Mary was a full time mother and grandmother, but she still worked at Floyd’s General Store in Titusville for a number of years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Upham, NB, St. Peter’s ACW and Salina Kirk UCW and a charter member Women’s Institute in Upham, NB. Mary held various offices in all the organizations. In her younger years, She loved to hook rugs and quilt, having quilting bee’s at her house on occasion. Mary is survived by her three sons: Paul of Hamilton, ON, Burpee (Margaret) of Perth Andover, NB and Larry of Halifax, NS; one daughter, Edith Morgan (Craig) of Cold Brook, NS; two brothers: Fred (Hazel) and Cecil (Kaye) both of Sussex, NB; two sisters: Freda Crawford (Mel) and Etha Duke both of Sussex, NB; 12 grandchildren: Lynne, Michel, Linda, Nancy, Grant, Wendy, Shelley, Suzan, Michael, Mark, Janet and Ann; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence Wagner; daughter, Lois Dechamps; two brothers: Clarence and Joe and four sisters: Dora, Bertha, Muriel and Hilda. Resting at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 2227 Route 820, Upham, NB with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11am. Interment in St. Barnabas Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
