Obituary of Eileen Josephine Broderick

The death of Eileen Josephine Broderick, formerly of 97 Union Street, Saint John, occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born at Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Edward James and Mary (O’Connell) Broderick. Eileen worked as a legal secretary in Vancouver, New York, and Boston, returning to Saint John to be the Executive Assistant of Mr. Reed at the Irving companies. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Eileen is survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers William Harold, Ralph J., and Dr. Edward O’Connell Broderick, and by a sister, Mary Kathleen MacDonald. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 12:00 Noon from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street, Saint John. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
