Obituary of Barbara Lois Biggs

BIGGS, BARBARA LOIS- The death of Barbara L. Biggs, wife of Hartley Biggs of Summit Drive, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on Monday, November 10, 2008. Barbara was born in Saint John and was a daughter of the late Frederick and Hilda (Longley) Doig. She graduated from Saint John High School and had been employed as a medical stenographer at the provincial lab. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Margaret Biggs Melanson (Kim) of Cole Harbour NB, and Katherine Biggs Craft (Ken) of Saint John, NB; one brother, James F. Doig of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia; and two grandsons, David and Andrew Craft. Barbara was predeceased by one half brother David G. Doig; and three half sisters, Mary Curren, Marjorie Toole and Jean Miller. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday & Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Silver Falls United Church, on Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 1:00 PM. Following the interment in Fernhill Cemetery, there will be a reception at the church hall.
