Obituary of Halleen B. Troy

Troy, Halleen B. … Halleen Bradshaw (Robertson) Troy, age 98, devoted wife of the late James Patterson Troy, passed away on April 23, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on October 25, 1909 in Saint John, NB, and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ruth (Bradshaw) Robertson. She is survived by her five daughters: Patricia (Scott) MacCulloch, Linda (Michael) Casey, Trudy (Guenter) Hahn, Nancy Likely (John Gorman), Charlotte (Kevin) Thorne; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two nieces. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by one brother, Everett Robertson and one grandson Joshua Likely. You shared your time, even when you had so many things to do. You shared your strength, even when you could have used a rest. You shared your wisdom, even when it wasn’t listened to. But most of all, you shared your love and Mom, you shared the very best. By Halleen’s request there will not be any visitation. Following cremation, a celebration of Halleen’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from Westfield United Church at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
